A new page to track my progress with various hoof issues and eventually get my certification with the American Association of Natural Hoof Care Practitioners (AANHCP). I am an AVID fan of Pete Ramey and have ordered and watched many of his DVD's all the way through more times than I can count and am still learning. I read every website I can to compare methods and keep learning.
New horse Max came from rescue, has long chipped feet, not bad balance but he wont let anyone near his hind feet (YET)! Follow progress HERE
Right front has chipped, I
started to take down the bars before photos...decided to leave frog flap, it is
calloused and no smell or flakey signs of infection. It will exfoliate on its
own. Balance is not bad, was a bit high on inside heel.
Left
front looks pretty good, but long with bars needing to come down a bit, will
leave frog same as above. Balance and pastern angle good, just needs to be filed
down and have a new mustang roll.
Hind feet
look too long in toe but haven't been able to touch the half of him yet.
